Creating Quality

The rich farmlands in the Hegins and
Lykens Valleys are ideal for growing
quality potatoes.
How Masser Potato Farms is Different
The difference in our potatoes starts with our selection of farmlands in the rich Hegins and Lykens Valleys. The rolling hills and red shale soil provide a unique, well-drained composition that contributes to a unique taste and texture to the potatoes.
With our strict adherence to both Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and the Safe Quality Food (SQF) initiatives, Masser Potato Farms takes food safety very serious. From testing our irrigation water to using metal detectors on finished products, we at Masser’s want to ensure that we provide our customers with a safe product.
Our dedication to quality does not stop there. By cooling and drying our potatoes prior to being package, we have taken steps to naturally extend the shelf life of the potatoes. Our potatoes go through multiple inspections as well: 2 different visual inspections and 1 computer inspection of unpackaged potatoes, as well as a visual inspection of the finished product.
